Against a backdrop of climate change, access to sufficient quality water has become a global challenge for all mankind. The internationally recognized Water Science and Technology program is designed to train expert engineers in the water sector in just three years, and today boasts over 1,400 graduates. The water sector is a major sector for eco-companies, and can position France as one of the pioneering countries in the field of green growth.

Know-how and skills

On graduating, the STE :

- Solid scientific and technical knowledge in all water-related disciplines;

- Suitable for management positions in drinking water production and operation, distribution system design, wastewater treatment plant sizing, stormwater treatment, environmental impact studies and diagnostics of the state of health of natural environments;

- Is able to design, lead and manage all types of projects in the water sector, while respecting the economic and legal frameworks of public services.

He is qualified to perform the following functions:

- Design or consulting engineer

- Project Manager

- Water Project Manager

- Research & Development

Internship abroad

Mandatory

Engineering students complete several compulsory internships in companies or research laboratories:

- 1 to 3-month internship at the end of3rd year;

- 1 to 3-month internship at the end of4th year;

- 5-6 month internship at the end of5th year.

 

In5th year, they carry out an industrial end-of-studies project (300 hours) that places them in a professional situation and enables them to develop their autonomy.

3rd year

- For students of classes préparatoires aux grandes écoles (CPGE): recruitment via the POLYTECH competitive entrance examination.

- For holders of an L2, L3, DUT, BTS or equivalent foreign diploma: competitive entrance exam based on application and interview.

- For PeiP2 students: after validation of course and national ranking.

Grade4

For holders of an M1 or equivalent foreign diploma: competitive examination based on application and interview.

Continuing education

Under certain conditions, the Microelectronics and Automation course is also open to employees with at least three years' professional experience in the field.
