Objectives
Advanced practice nurses have a broader range of skills than state-qualified nurses, validated by the state diploma in advanced practice nursing issued by the University.
Program
Classes take place face-to-face in Montpellier over 1 to 2 weeks per month, outside internship periods.
- First-year internship: 10 weeks
- Second-year internship: 4 months
The training program will be organized around a 1st year of core training, laying the foundations for advanced practice nursing, and a 2nd year focusing on courses related to the chosen specialization.
Candidates must validate 60 ECTS credits over the two-year training period. These credits will be divided into Teaching Units as follows:
- Clinic
- Nursing and advanced practice
- Responsibility, ethics, legislation, deontology
- Living language
- How we work
- Public Health
- Etc.
Admission
Access conditions
Enrolment is possible for both initial and continuing training. However, a minimum of three years' professional practice as a DE nurse is required to enroll in Advanced Practice.
- Continuous assessment
- Semi-annual written examinations
- Internship dissertation
Enrolment is subject to prior authorization by the training coordinators, after consulting the pedagogical council.

- Initial training is reserved for students who have not interrupted their studies.
