Overview
Objectives
Nurses practicing at an advanced level have broader competencies than those of state-certified nurses, as validated by the state diploma in advanced nursing practice awarded by the university.

Assessment Procedures
In each Course Unit (UE), the skills and knowledge assessed may vary. Assessment may consist of a final exam, and/or continuous assessment, and/or verification of attendance at certain classes. The assessment methods selected for each UE are officially published no later than one month after the start of the academic year.
Assessment consists of two exam sessions per year:
- One session at the end of each semester.
- A second exam session in early July, during which each student will take exams for the courses they did not pass during the first session.
The examination committee grants credit for a course after deliberation when the student has earned a grade of 10/20 or higher.
Program
Classes are held in person in Montpellier outside of internship periods
- First-year internships: 10 weeks
- Second-year internships: 4 months
The program will be structured around a first year of core curriculum designed to lay the foundation for advanced practice nursing, and a second year focused on courses related to the chosen specialization: - Section: Stabilized Chronic Conditions; Prevention and Common Multimorbidity in Primary Care
- Oncology and Hematology-Oncology specialization
- Chronic Kidney Disease, Dialysis, Kidney Transplant
- Psychiatry and Mental Health track
- "Emergency"
Courses are organized into semesters, with each semester corresponding to 30 ECTS (European credits), for a total of 60 ECTS per year.
Admission
Admission Requirements
Enrollment is available through either initial training or continuing education. However, to practice in Advanced Practice, candidates must have at least three years of prior professional experience as a registered nurse.
Enrollment is subject to prior approval by the program coordinators, following consultation with the academic advisory board.

- The initial training program is reserved for students who have not interrupted their studies.
