Objectives
The advanced practice nurse has extended skills, compared to those of the state-qualified nurse, validated by the state diploma of advanced practice nurse issued by the University
Program
The courses take place in Montpellier over 1 to 2 weeks per month outside the training periods
- First year internship: 10 weeks
- Internship in second year: 4 months
The training will be organized around a 1st year of common core allowing to lay the foundations of advanced practice nursing and a 2nd year centered on the teachings related to the chosen mention.
The candidates will have to validate 60 ECTS during the two years of training. These credits will be divided into Teaching Units as follows
- Clinic
- Nursing and advanced practice
- Responsibility, ethics, legislation, deontology
- Living language
- Method of work
- Public Health
- Etc.
Admission
Conditions of access
Registration is possible for initial or continuing education. However, a minimum of three years of professional practice as a DE nurse is required to enroll in Advanced Practice.
- Continuous assessment
- Semi-annual written exams
- Internship thesis
Registration is subject to prior authorization by the training coordinators, after consultation with the pedagogical council.

- Initial training is reserved for students who have not interrupted their studies.
