Presentation

This state diploma confers the same rights as those attached to passing the baccalaureate. It is officially recognized at level IV of the interministerial classification of training levels. See Ministerial Decree of August 3, 1994, relating to the diploma for access to university studies.

The DAEU-B is registered with the Occitanie Region's FORPROSUP Continuing Education Program in Higher Education *.

It allows job seekers registered with France Travail to:

  • To benefit from coverage of the cost of training (excluding registration fees) after validation of the project and prescription of the DAEUB by one of the organizations authorized by the Region: France Travail, Mission Locale, Cap Emploi, Departmental Council, CIDFF.
  • To receive regional compensation under certain conditions or to retain your rights through France Travail.

* Subject to approval by the elected representatives of the Occitanie/Pyrénées-Méditerranée region.

Program

Part-time training from September to June.
Daytime classes are held in Béziers, Montpellier, Nîmes, Ganges, and Lodève, and evening classes are held in Montpellier.
Continuous assessment and final exam.

Total course duration: 400 hours of classes:

Compulsory subjects

- French (88 hours)

Admission requirements

Have interrupted your studies for at least 2 years, provided that:

  • or be at least 24 years old on October 1 of the year in which the degree is obtained.
  • i.e., be at least 20 years old on October 1 of the year in which the diploma is obtained. You must also provide proof of two years of full-time or part-time professional activity (or equivalent*) on that date, which has given rise to social security contributions.

 

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE: Review of applications and individual interviews

Job seekers may be eligible for a place funded by the Occitanie Region as part of the FORPROSUP program (subject to official notification from the Region).

Access to training courses funded by the Region is reserved for job seekers who have been referred by one of the following advisors: Mission Locale, Pôle Emploi, Services d'Insertion des Conseils Généraux, CIDFF.

Target audience

Audience: those who do not hold a high school diploma or equivalent

Candidates who have interrupted their initial studies for at least two years and who meet one of the following conditions are eligible to enroll at the University with a view to obtaining a degree:

  • be at least 24 years old on October 1 of the year in which the degree is obtained.
  • be at least 20 years old on October 1 of the year in which the diploma is obtained.

And provide proof of two years of full-time or part-time professional (or equivalent) activity during that period, which gave rise to social security contributions.

The following are considered professional activities:         
Periods devoted to raising a child; Registration with France Travail; participation in a training program; participation in high-level sports activities.
