Overview
The DEUST AGAPS with a focus on soccer prepares students for careers in coaching, recreation, communications, management, and sports—and more specifically, soccer—within nonprofit or private organizations.
Objectives
This program trains professionals in the management and development of sectors essential to soccer operations within a professional organization:
• Administrative development
• Structural development (accounting, administration, management)
• Optimization/development of technical resources (coaching, planning, scheduling).
Expertise and Skills
The core subjects cover the areas of physical conditioning, coaching, administration, management, accounting, and supervision of specialized sports in the service sector—and more specifically, services related to sports activities.

Admission Requirements
- The DEUST program is designed for high school graduates or those with equivalent qualifications who have a suitable background and can demonstrate involvement in sports, as well as experience in organizing, coaching, or introducing beginners to sports, recreation, and tourism. Holding a BAFA or AFPS (first aid certification) is a plus.
- The DEUST is designed for employees, artisans, independent professionals, job seekers, and individuals who have taken a break from their studies for at least one year and wish to further their education, provided they can demonstrate a professional background in the sports sector (at least 3 years).
Support is provided through an ongoing educational workshop for adults to increase their chances of success as they resume their studies.
Target Audience
The DEUST AGAPS program trains professionals in the management and development of sectors essential to the soccer industry within a professional training setting:
- Administrative Development
- Structural Development (Accounting, Administration, Management)
- Optimization/development of technical resources (training, planning, scheduling).
Mandatory Prerequisites
Students are admitted to the first year of the DEUST program if they meet the following requirements:
- a high school diploma (or equivalent)
- an enrollment authorization proposed by the CPE* or by the Commission for the Validation of Professional Experience. This authorization is issued by the school principal.
*The Academic and Equivalency Committee (CPE) is authorized to recommend to the school administrator exemptions from all or part of one or more course units that make up a degree program for which the student is applying, and to recognize prior academic achievements.

Continuing Education
Depending on your DEUST grades, you may continue your studies toward a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science (Sports Coaching or Adapted Physical Activities and Health) or a Professional Bachelor’s degree.
Employment Placement
The DEUST AGAPS program with a concentration in soccer prepares students for careers in coaching, recreation, training, management, and sports—and more specifically, soccer—in nonprofit or private settings.
It also prepares students for careers in the sports and communications sectors. In fact, the program aims to train professionals capable of taking on responsibilities in design, management, and administrative and financial administration within a private or nonprofit organization. Finally, it provides students with the opportunity to take the competitive exams for local government sports instructors as well as to earn soccer coaching certifications.
The program is designed to prepare students for careers as coaches, administrators, and managers of large-field team sports within nonprofit organizations, national sports federations, and/or local governments.
