This course trains professionals in the management and development of the sectors essential to soccer activity within a professional structure:
- Administrative development
- Structural development (accounting, management, administration)
- Optimization/development of technical resources (training, planning, programming).

The dominant teaching subjects are in the fields of physical preparation, training, management, accounting and supervision of sports specialties in the tertiary sector, and more specifically services in terms of sports activities.

Admission

Access conditions

  • The DEUST is aimed at holders of a baccalaureate or equivalent, with a suitable profile, demonstrating involvement in sport and participation in leadership, training and initiation in sports, leisure and tourism structures. BAFA, AFPS (first aid certificate) are an asset.
  • The DEUST is aimed at employees, craftsmen, self-employed professionals, jobseekers, people who have interrupted their studies for a year, who wish to complete their training and who can demonstrate a level of professionalism in the sports sector (minimum 3 years).
    Adults are supported in a permanent teaching workshop to increase their chances of successfully resuming their studies.

Necessary prerequisites

Students are admitted to the first year of the DEUST if they can prove :

  • baccalaureate (or equivalent qualification)
  • a registration authorization proposed by the CPE* or by the Commission de Validation des Acquis Professionnels. This authorization is issued by the Head of School. 

*The Commission Pédagogique et d'Equivalence (CPE) is responsible for granting the head of the establishment exemptions from all or part of one or more teaching units making up a diploma for which the student is applying, and for validating academic achievements.

Further studies

Depending on the results of the DEUST, you can continue your studies towards a STAPS degree (Sports Training or Adapted Physical Activities and Health) or a Professional Degree.

Professional integration

The DEUST AGAPS in soccer prepares students for careers in coaching, leadership, in- formation, management and sport, with a particular focus on soccer in associative or private settings.

It also prepares students for careers in the tertiary sports and communications sectors. The course is designed to train technicians capable of exercising design, management, administrative and financial responsibilities within a private or associative structure. Lastly, it provides the opportunity to take the competitive examination for local and regional educators, as well as the diploma for soccer educators.

Together, these courses will lead to careers as coaches, managers and administrators of large-scale team sports in associations, federations and/or local authorities.
