CERTIFICAT D'ETUDES SUPERIEURES DE PROTHESE CONJOINTE (POST-GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN JOINT PROSTHETICS)
Objectives
- By the end of this course, students should have acquired a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of conjoint prosthetics.
- This knowledge covers the basic principles of prosthetic design (biomechanical criteria), their practical application in the design and fabrication of prosthetic restorations, prosthetic follow-up and the medico-legal aspects associated with this technique (traceability; material vigilance; obligation of means and expected results; attitude to failure).

Validation of the 4 specific and fundamental UE :
1st Session: 1 one-hour written test per UE
Validation of each UE: obtain a mark higher than 12/20
2nd retest session for each UE not validated
Average validation of the EU written and oral tests, with a mark of 10/20 or higher.
Program
Acquire 16 ECTS credits, including in-depth clinical courses and a Basic Sciences course
The courses are organized into the following specific units:
- UE 1 : Prosthetic occlusion (4 ECTS)
- UE 2 : Clinic and physiology in fixed prosthetics (4 ECTS)
- UE 3 : Fixed prosthesis technology and laboratory (4 ECTS)
- UE4 : in basic sciences: choose from the following themes: (4 ECTS)
Anatomy and physiology of the manducatory apparatus, oral ecosystem, biomaterials, chosen from a UE from a Master's course or a CES in basic sciences.
- General knowledge of biomaterials OR
- Odontological biomaterials
Admission
Access conditions
- Hold a diploma of Doctor of Dental Surgery entitling them to practise in the country in which they obtained their diploma or in their country of origin.
- Candidates who have validated some of these UEs are asked to provide a certificate of achievement when registering.
