Objectives
- By the end of this course, students should have acquired in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of joint prostheses.
- This knowledge covers the basic principles of prosthesis fabrication (biomechanical criteria), their application in the design and fabrication of prosthetic restorations, prosthetic follow-up, and the medico-legal aspects related to this technique (traceability; medical device vigilance; obligation of means and expected results; approach to failure).

Earn 16 ECTS credits, including clinical specialization courses and a course in basic sciences
The courses are organized into the following specific course units:
- UE 1: Prosthetic Occlusion (4 ECTS)
- UE 2: Clinical Aspects and Physiology of Fixed Prostheses (4 ECTS)
- UE 3: Technology and Laboratory Work in Fixed Prosthodontics (4 ECTS)
- UE4 in Basic Sciences —choose from the following topics : (4 ECTS)
– Course Unit 2: Oral Biology
– Course Unit 3: Biomaterials
Admission
Admission Requirements
- Hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree that qualifies the candidate to practice dentistry in the country where the degree was earned or in the candidate’s country of origin.
- Applicants who have successfully completed some of these course units are asked to provide proof of completion when they register.
