Overview
CERTIFICATE OF ADVANCED STUDIES IN BIOMATERIALS IN DENTISTRY, WITH A SPECIALIZATION IN SELECTION AND CLINICAL APPLICATION.
Objectives
This course provides an in-depth look at dental biomaterials, their properties, and their implications for the selection and application of these biomaterials.
Students must complete the following course units (16 ECTS):
- UE 1: General Concepts in Biomaterials: Overview, Requirements, Structure, Degradation, and Concepts Related to Implantable Biomaterials. (4 ECTS)
- UE 2: Behavior and Characterization of Biomaterials (Fundamentals) (4 ECTS)
- UE 3: Dental Biomaterials. (4 ECTS)
- UE 4: Basic science course corresponding to the field of clinical application of biomaterials selected from another clinical CES. (4 ECTS)
Program
The 120-hour course is worth 16 ECTS credits.
This certificate consists of 3 specialized courses (12 ECTS) and 1 core course (4 ECTS)
Admission
Admission Requirements
- Hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree that qualifies the candidate to practice dentistry in the country where the degree was awarded or in the candidate's country of origin.
- Students who have successfully completed some of these course units are asked to provide proof of completion when they register.
