Objectives

This course provides an in-depth understanding of odontological biomaterials, their properties, their consequences on the choice and conditions of use of these biomaterials.

The student must validate the following UE (16 ECTS):

  • UE 1 : General notions on biomaterials: generalities, requirements, structure, degradation, notions on implantable biomaterials. (4 ECTS)
  • UE 2 : Behavior and characterization of biomaterials. (basic elements) (4 ECTS)
  • UE 3 : Odontological biomaterials. (4 ECTS) 
  • UE 4 : in basic science corresponding to the field of clinical use of biomaterials chosen from another clinical CES (4 ECTS)

Conditions of access

  • Hold a Diplôme de Docteur en Chirurgie Dentaire entitling them to practice dentistry in the country in which they obtained their diploma or in their country of origin.
  • Students who have passed some of these UEs are asked to provide a certificate of achievement when registering.
