Presentation

the Bachelor Universitaire de Technologie (B.U.T.) has become the new reference diploma for IUTs. When you enter a B.U.T., you'll benefit from an integrated 3-year program, with no additional selection required to achieve the "licence" degree. A DUT will still be awarded at the end of the second year, so you can continue to benefit from a university and technological education supervised by experienced mixed teaching teams.

- Digital Creation pathway: This pathway is based on the skill of expressing, i.e. expressing a message or discourse on a range of media in the form of digital creation and multimedia writing.

- Web development and interactive devices course: This course focuses on the development of websites.

Objectives

The 3-year Multimedia and Internet Professions (MMI) degree trains technicians in the fields of communication, design, web development, audiovisual and digital project management. Throughout the 6-semester program, students acquire a range of skills and know-how in multimedia professions.
They learn how to shape a communications strategy, while creating and managing the media needed to implement it in a coherent and relevant way.
They assimilate computer graphics tools with a view to web integration, and understand how to program a mobile application. This learning takes place through lectures, tutorials, practical work, internships and tutored projects (group work supervised by a teacher).
On completion of the course, graduates have sufficient theoretical and practical knowledge to enter the job market, or to pursue a specialization at university or elsewhere.

Work-study arrangements

ALTERNANCE
A genuine gateway to professional integration, the choice of work-study program is offered from the 2nd year of the B.U.T. MMI, and remains a viable option at any time during the course. The work-study approach, characterized by one week on the job followed by one week in class, offers an immersive, hands-on experience. This pedagogical model enables apprentices to apply the knowledge they've acquired in the classroom to a real-world business environment, reinforcing their understanding of the challenges facing the multimedia and Internet sector. What's more, the alternating work-study schedule enables students to balance theory and practice effectively. The timetable, drawn up in collaboration with the initial training program, ensures consistency between the two courses, encouraging the exchange of experience and the sharing of skills between apprentices and students in conventional training. This seamless integration enables apprentices to benefit from the best of both worlds, combining academic expertise with professional experience.
