Presentation
The home automation market in France will account for more than a billion euros in direct spending in 2019, and this figure is unlikely to fall with the general public's growing appetite for connected objects, as well as regulatory changes to energy standards in the construction sector. However, the development of home automation solutions and connected objects requires trained, competent professionals. Today, there are diploma courses in home automation (BTS Fluides Energies Domotique, Licence Pro domotique, etc.) which enable students to acquire technical knowledge and to install and check the conformity of installations with laws and decrees relating to the environment or the safety of goods and people, but these are by nature generalist and need to be supplemented by knowledge of the protocols specific to this type of technology and equipment.
Training benefits
Focusing on a practical approach (60% of the course is devoted to hands-on work) in small groups (maximum 12 participants), the content of the Short Home Automation Training course meets the specifications of the "KNX international" organization, and leads to the first level of qualification for KNX Partner certification in the international database of the Brussels-based KNX Association.
Objectives
At the end of this course, you will be able to master the concepts of the KNX system:
- Bus wiring rules, knowledge of equipment
- Device communication principles
- Programming, commissioning and diagnosing a plant with ETS6 software
Know-how and skills
- Promote the deployment of home automation solutions using the KNX protocol.
- Define the right equipment to meet the customer's functional requirements and to comply with the building's installation rules.
- Understand and define the communication bus topology adapted to the equipment used.
- Explain a technical problem and/or share knowledge with other professionals Put into service the equipment implemented, parameterized and programmed.
- Evaluate the smooth running and sustainability of the program.
- Identify and correct malfunctions.
- Create and manage technical documentation and mandatory backups for home automation installations.
