Presentation
Against a backdrop of increasing emphasis on the role of pharmacies in prevention and public health, this short course has been designed by the Montpellier Faculty of Pharmacy to enable pharmacy assistants to acquire the practical and theoretical skills needed to carry out the vaccination procedure.

Objectives
This practice-oriented Short Course enables pharmacy assistants to acquire 3 key skills:
- Learn how to vaccinate,
- Controlling undesirable effects,
- Reinforce knowledge of vaccines and communication with patients.
On completion of the course, participants will be able to contribute effectively to vaccination campaigns, in complete safety and in compliance with the legal framework.
This increase in skills is part of a strategy to enhance the value of the profession and meet the growing needs of local healthcare.
Program
Half-day training (1:30 pm - 5:30 pm)
Several training sessions are planned for the current year:
- June 12, 2025 (e-learning training begins on June 6)
- June 17, 2025 (e-learning training begins on June 12)
- June 26th, 2025 (e-learning training begins on June 20)
- July 1, 2025 (e-learning training begins on June 26)
PROGRAM
- Up-to-date knowledge in the form of video capsules (distance learning)
- Regulatory aspects (20 minutes)
- Bacteria and viruses (2 x 10 minutes)
- Vaccination and vaccine-preventable diseases (20 minutes)
- Practical teaching (classroom)
- Vaccination training
- Management of post-vaccination events (illness, allergy, etc.)

- Knowledge before practical training
- From vaccination to the end of training
A training certificate will be issued at the end of the course.
