Presentation
This course offers students from UM, ENSCM, Institut Agro Montpellier, ENSAM, and IMT Mines Alès lessons designed to raise their awareness of the challenges of ecological transition, sustainable development, and social responsibility. These lessons are introductory in nature and are general and cross-disciplinary. The course comprises around 40 hours of classes and a case study covering various topics: - Climate, Energy, Resources, Biodiversity, Fair and Equitable Transition - Economics, Law, Politics, Environmental Management - Transportation, Waste, Digital Technology, Analysis Tools (Carbon Footprint, Greenhouse Gases, Life Cycle Analysis) and - Communication, Eco-Responsibility, Commitment, CSR.
The advantages of the training program
This initiative to raise awareness among students is part of a broader citizenship education program led by UM to help make future graduates more aware of major environmental and societal issues.
Objectives
This DE primarily aims to strengthen students' ability to analyze and understand their environment, regardless of their field of study. This awareness can also help build bridges to companies and careers in ecological transition and sustainable development.
Know-how and skills
At the end of this course, students will have a better understanding and therefore a better grasp of the main issues related to SD&SR. The course aims to:
- raise awareness, inform, and foster understanding of the ecological transition and the diverse challenges of SD&SR
- develop critical thinking and the ability to synthesize these aspects and their interactions
- acquire a basic understanding of the analytical methods used in diagnostics and thought processes
- be able to promote and exchange a range of "best practices"

Admission requirements
This training program is only available to students enrolled in initial training and apprenticeship programs for the current academic year at one of the following institutions: University of Montpellier, ENSCM, Institut Agro Montpellier, ENSAM, IMT Mines Alès
A certificate of enrollment for the academic year in question, or failing that, proof of acceptance at one of the institutions, is required to support the application.

Registration procedures
Registration fee: €50 (€25 for scholarship recipients)
Registration fees are set excluding CVEC and SCD amounts. These amounts are payable:
- depending on the student's situation for the CVEC
- systematically for the SCD
