Presentation
Applied pharmacology in oncology, from anticancer drug development to patient care.
Oncology pharmocology is constantly evolving, enabling us to offer more and more therapeutic innovations to oncologists and, above all, to the patients they treat. For several years now, the oncology treatment pathway has been modified by the boom in oral therapies. Dispensed at the pharmacy and administered at home by the patient, these oral therapies, with their many side effects, require optimum support to ensure both efficacy and, above all, safety.
This University Diploma in Onco Pharmacology meets a strong demand from professionals in the sector (continuing education) and from future graduates (initial training) , who are looking for both technical and practical training to secure their oncology care.
Acquire knowledge of clinical oncology and pharmacology (from biology to treatment), applied to patient care. The DU offers a common core curriculum for all participants, followed by a choice of pathways: pathway 1 in dispensary pharmacy and pathway 2 in industrial hospitals.
Training benefits
As part of the 1-officine pathway, the DU program enables you to obtain the training you need to accompany patients and provide them with a colorectal cancer screening kit, in collaboration with the Occitanie RCDC.
Objectives
- Conduct pharmaceutical interviews to provide personalized information and advice to patients taking anti-cancer drugs.
- Helping patients manage the adverse effects of treatment.
- Analyze therapeutic strategy to optimize patient care.
- Assist the oncologist in individualizing patient care.
- Helping patients and their healthcare team to manage the side effects of treatment.
Program
- 1 academic year .
- Face-to-face teaching, in the form of a monthly 2-day module (Monday and Tuesday) by professionals in the field (oncologist, pharmacologist, hospital pharmacist, dispensary pharmacist, patient partner, advanced practice nurse, etc.) Optimizing training to suit the participant's expectations, with a common core of onco-pharmacology and an option (either hospital or dispensary, left to the participant's choice).
